The 5 chapels (15th century) representing scenes from the Passion of Christ. Together with the former "Görz" chapel in the parish church and the circular chapel in Lerschach, they form the so-called "Calvary Mountain" pilgrimage road. The chapel was built to commemorate the fallen in the war against the Republic of Venice. The Way of the Cross is 1200 feet long, the exact length of Jerusalem's, and was built by Emperor Maximilian in 1519.
The oldest Via Crucis of Tyrol starts at the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist and leads over the Maximilian/Massimiliano street, passting the Hotel Rosengarten, to the Chapel in Lerschach.
Attention: The Lerschach chapel is closed all year round. The landwoners alloweds to go there only for church events and for their own tours.
