Informative Note on the Handling of Personal Information

In compliance with the law on privacy , the Consorzio 3 Zinnen Dolomites consortium (hereafter “Tre Cime”), with registered address at Via Ombrosa 2/F in San Candido - Versciaco (BZ) 39038 Italy, in its role as the Data Controller, is providing the information below regarding its handling of information on customers who intend to join the loyalty programme called “Mountain Club”, as described in the relative Regulations.
Those interested may enrol in the programme online at after filling up the registration form with the required information. Together with his personal details (name, surname, birth date, postal code, country), the customer must specify an email address that will be used to receive a confirmation message of activation of the customer's profile, which will be sent at the end of the registration procedure. After registration, the system will also generate a unique customer code associated with the Mountain Club Card.

The personal information described above and information acquired through use of the Card (such as data on purchases made at the points of sale of Tre Cime and its commercial partners) - that is, regarding the use of skipasses which may be associated with the Card - will be handled by Tre Cime for managing the activities and services described in the Regulations in favour of Mountain Club Card holders, including fulfilment of the benefits reserved to them (such as gifts, discounts and exclusive services).

Enrolling in the programme is voluntary, but to enrol in the Club and request the Card, certain personal information must be provided. If it is not, it will not be possible to receive a Mountain Club Card or participate in the programme.

The email address provided by the customer in order to register for and enrol in the programme may be used to send newsletters and messages regarding services that are similar to those offered by the Mountain Club programme; however, the customer may refuse to receive such communications when enrolling or even after they have been sent, by sending an email to

Also, with the free and voluntary consent of the customer, which is given by selecting specific boxes on an online form, Tre Cime may handle the aforementioned personal information for the following, additional purposes: (i) to carry out marketing operations such as sending emails with additional newsletters and notices of promotions, special offers and discounts relative to products, services and events promoted by Tre Cime and other companies that are its commercial partners; (ii) to perform analyses of the information, through automated means, in order to identify the preferences and consumption habits of customers, for the purpose of improving its range of products and services, and of customising its commercial messages. Providing personal information and consent for such additional purposes is in any case voluntary and does not affect the enrolment of the customer in the Mountain Club Card programme, but may be useful for keeping the customer abreast of other offers and promotions of possible interest.

The personal information of Mountain Club Card holders will be handled through electronic and non-electronic means by internal personnel of Tre Cime in their position as authorised Data Handlers (marketing and administrative personnel, system administrators) using computerised procedures and methods to correctly manage the activities and services associated with the Mountain Club Card, and to fulfil the associated administrative and technical requirements.

Data supplied by the customer and data acquired on a case-by-case basis will not be released, but will be communicated exclusively for the purposes described above to providers of newsletter services and database management services that act as Data Controllers of the information on behalf of Tre Cime (a complete, up-to-date list of Data Controllers can be obtained upon request by writing to: )
In particular, to send its newsletters, Tre Cime uses the MailChimp service, which stores only the name and email address of the customer. MailChimp is a platform belonging to Rocket Science Group LLC, a company headquartered in the United States that complies with the EU-USA agreement entitled “Privacy Shield”, which mandates suitable guarantees for the protection of interested parties that transfer data to companies based in the USA.

The data on customers which regards the detailing of their expenses and purchases will be stored for profiling purposes for twelve months from the time it is recorded and for twenty-four months for marketing purposes (unless such data has been converted into anonymous form). After the relationship with the Mountain Club programme is terminated (that is, after the above periods have expired), customers' information will be stored exclusively for administrative purposes for three months, unless specific applicable legal requirements on retaining accounting documentation mandate its continued retention.

At any time and upon request sent to Tre Cime - as the Data Controller - to the addresses specified above, or also via email at, a Card holder may exercise the rights described in the privacy law (art. 7 of Ital. Legis. Decree 196/2003), which include the right to access personal information; to have the information updated or corrected and to add information when it is in the Holder's interest; to delete the information, convert it into anonymous form or block its use if it is handled in a manner that violates the law; to block the handling of the information for the purpose of sending advertising or direct sales materials, or of performing market studies or sending commercial communication.
