Who says life on an alpine farm is just for adults? At the Children’s Hut on Monte Elmo in the 3 Zinnen Dolomites region of South Tyrol, you don’t have to go far to explore the alpine world in a playful way with your loved ones.
Directly at the upper station Monte Elmo you’ll find the authentic alpine farm village. Young explorers can step inside the cosy, fully furnished little wooden huts – there’s plenty to play, hammer and discover!
Especially convenient: you reach the Children’s Hut comfortably from Sesto or Versciaco with the cable cars. The area at over 2,000 metres above sea level is perfect for a day out with the whole family. And the best part: the mountain animal enclosure is right next door! Here, children can have fun feeding and petting goats, sheep and rabbits.

On Monte Elmo, the experience world of the legendary mountain creature Olperl awaits curious explorers. Along ten stations, children experience the mountain world with all their senses on a stroller‑friendly circular trail – on barefoot paths, climbing areas and lookout towers with views of the Dolomites. The mountain animal enclosure and Children’s Hut included.
