Reaching the Top of the Alps with a structured expansion plan

What’s new for winter 2019/20

Below you will find all the news that will be in the winter of 2019/20 in the ski resort 3 Zinnen Dolomites.

New 8-seater chairlift "hasenköpfl"
Make way for the new "Hasenköpfl” premium 8-seater chairlift at Monte Elmo! Starting winter 19/20, the current 3-seater chair lift "Helm" will be replaced by a new detachable 8-seater chair lift. In addition to protective hoods and the luxury of heated seats, the new chairlift will offer visitors to the ski resort extraordinary comfort, especially our younger guests: the child-friendly boarding conveyor belt, which goes up or down depending on the child’s size, makes getting into the chairlift as easy and straightforward as possible for young skiers. The new, comfortable luxury chairlift also boasts one of the resort’s most beautiful views towards the Sesto sundial, the largest stone sundial in the world.

technical snowmaking
The most powerful snow-making system in northern Italy, which was installed last winter, will be further expanded to maximise its potential and to guarantee skiing fun at the beginning of the skiing season or even during winters with little snow.

We will connect with Austria and Veneto
The jewel in the crown, which will certainly bring promotion to the Champions League of Alpine ski resorts, will be added in a few years: the South Tyrolean 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort is to be connected with the "Thurnthaler" ski resort on the Austrian side. This connection increases the existing 110 kilometres of slopes to 160 in arguably the most beautiful corner of the UNSECO Dolomites. The planned expansion will make the ski resort the first and only ski resort in the entire Dolomiti Superski area to extend beyond the Italian border and connect two countries. Getting in touch with two different cultures and cuisines - South Tyrolean/Italian and Austrian - will be possible on a single day’s skiing. This should ensure promotion to the Champions League!
