Would you like to take a look behind the scenes with our animal rangers? Visit the mountain animal enclosure at Monte Elmo, right next to the top station, and learn fascinating facts about the relationship between humans and animals. You can visit the stables and, of course, pet the animals too.

Join our guided nature workshop and create your own personal souvenir using natural materials to take home with you. We’ll help you along the way! Young creatives and their parents are warmly welcome.

Sunrise hike

Helmjet Sesto

The mountains are calling — and in the early morning hours at that! On the guided sunrise hike to the summit of Helm, you will experience the first rays of sunlight bathing the Dolomites in golden light. The hike takes about one hour and rewards you with unforgettable views.

Alpaca walk

Monte Elmo, Reinhold Messner Haus | 2.00–3.00 pm | free of charge

Join our alpacas for a leisurely walk on Monte Elmo. Starting from the Reinhold Messner Haus, you’ll set off together with these friendly companions on a one-hour walk through the breathtaking landscape of the Dolomites - a truly special experience for all who love animals and nature.

The alpaca walk is free of charge and no registration is required.

Giro Bike Tour

The Giro Bike Tour promises riding fun, nature and spectacular trails in the heart of the Sexten Dolomites. Our experienced and qualified mountain bike guides accompany you with expertise and passion on unforgettable biking adventures, always with a focus on safety, fun and impressive tours in an alpine setting.

Open Air Museum WWI

On a guided hike to the “Anderter Alpe” open-air museum on Croda Rossa, you will discover original sites from the First World War in the Dolomites. Historical traces such as trenches and military positions bring this eventful past vividly to life, accompanied by fascinating panoramic views.

Majestic, calm and impressive - Reinhold Messner’s yaks are true highlights on the Monte Elmo. If you’d like to experience these fascinating animals up close, don’t miss the feeding at 2:00 p.m. at the Reinhold Messner Haus. It’s a wonderful experience for animal lovers, nature enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates unique encounters.

The yak feeding is free of charge and no registration is required.

Giant's Baranci Kids Party

Sunset Aperitivo

At the Sunset Aperitivo on Monte Elmo, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding Dolomites in a relaxed atmosphere. At the Proseccheria of the Monte Elmo restaurant, located at 2,050 metres above sea level, the perfect sundowner awaits — ideally with a glass of Prosecco in hand.
