Safety First on the Slopes
Slope Safety Regulations
-
Helmet requirement
Starting from the 2025/26 winter season, wearing a helmet will be mandatory for all winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing, regardless of age. -
Alcohol ban
Since 1 January 2022, the same regulations that apply to road traffic have also been in force on Italian ski slopes. A blood alcohol limit of 0.5 has been set for skiers and snowboarders, and skiing under the influence of drugs is strictly prohibited. -
Liability insurance
Since 1 January 2022, all individuals using Italian ski areas are required to have liability insurance that covers damage caused to third parties. Many common private liability policies – such as family insurance plans – already include winter sports, but it is advisable to check this with your insurance provider. The ski pass does not include liability insurance. If needed, appropriate insurance can also be purchased online for individual days.
Slope Rescue
To ensure a professional rescue service for all guests within the ski area, specially trained slope rescue staff are on duty. The rescue service in the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski area is organized in cooperation with the regional rescue organization Weisses Kreuz. In the event of an accident, a sufficient number of emergency personnel are available to provide rapid assistance.
Costs of Slope Rescue
For first aid treatment and/or the transport of injured persons, a flat-rate service fee of €275.00 is charged.
Accident Report
Accidents can be reported at all lift stations, mountain huts, the skipass office, or via the emergency number 112.
Infrastructure
During your holiday, we ensure the best possible medical care at all times. In the immediate vicinity of the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski area, there are four hospitals providing all essential medical services and facilities:
Hospital Brunico
Hospital Cortina
Hopsital Lienz
