Located in San Candido village centre, the 4-seater chairlift takes guests ip to the Baranci mountain station, a paradise for families at 1,500 m above sea level: five lifts, 23 km of slopes, four ski huts and a flood-lit slope for night skiing make the enjoyment of skiing perfect.
Winter fun for the whole family: At Monte Baranci in San Candido, you can find a 2.1-kilometre-long, child-friendly toboggan run with a mountain hut. Rifugio Gigante Baranci hut at the top of the 4-seater chairlift marks the start of your descent. This varied track is ideal for families, offering a varied ride down to the valley station.
Twice a week, the snow groomers at Haunold head out once more after closing time to freshly prepare the slopes for the evening guests. What this means for you: every Tuesday and Friday from 7:00 PM onwards, you can experience the alpine ski world by night - under the glow of the stars and World Cup-level floodlights. Want to end your ski day in a special way with your children? Then night sledding at Haunold is just the thing: equipped with headlamps and a spirit of adventure, young and old race down the three-kilometer-long sled run into the valley - a winter experience for snow lovers of all ages.
High up on Baranci, the Rifugio Gigante Baranci invites you to a cozy break. While the adults warm up with traditional South Tyrolean specialties, the little guests enjoy their own children’s menu. Whether after skiing, sledding, or winter hiking - this is the perfect place for a delicious pause with a view of the snow-covered mountains.
