Join our alpacas for a leisurely walk on Monte Elmo. Starting from the Reinhold Messner Haus, you’ll set off together with these friendly companions on a one-hour walk through the breathtaking landscape of the Dolomites - a truly special experience for all who love animals and nature.

Every Tuesday and Friday, Monte Baranci becomes a shining meeting point for everyone who just can’t get enough of skiing or tobogganing. As soon as the sun sets, floodlights and a truly special atmosphere create unforgettable evening moments high above San Candido.
The Rifugio Gigante Baranci invites you to stop by and enjoy delicious food and drinks in a cozy and welcoming setting.

Majestic, calm and impressive - Reinhold Messner’s yaks are true highlights on the Monte Elmo. If you’d like to experience these fascinating animals up close, don’t miss the feeding at 2:00 p.m. at the Reinhold Messner Haus. It’s a wonderful experience for animal lovers, nature enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates unique encounters.
The yak feeding is free of charge and no registration is required.

Start your day with a view - and a Weißwurst! Every Saturday and Sunday, the Rifugio Pollaio serves a classic Bavarian Weißwurst breakfast with pretzel and sweet mustard - and, if you like, a refreshing glass of beer to go with it.
Exclusivity at its finest: During the Helmjet VIP Experience, you can enjoy an hour in the VIP gondola, complete with fine Franciacorta sparkling wine, local nibbles – and, of course, a spectacular view of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site.
History, mountains and special encounters: The Reinhold Messner Haus on Monte Elmo is also open daily during the winter season and well worth a visit - the perfect stop for a short break between skiing, a walk, or a hut visit.
