What’s the route of the Giro delle Cime?

This iconic ski circuit unfolds in seven exciting sections, each offering its own blend of adventure, scenery and mountain charm:

  • Section 1: Kick things off at the Vierschach/Helm valley station or take the Helmjet cable car from Sexten. You’ll reach the tour’s highest point at 2,200 metres – perfect for soaking in the views before a sunny downhill run to the Stiergarten cable car.
  • Section 2: Glide up the Stiergarten ski mountain and carve your way down the scenic Drei Zinnen piste to the Signaue valley station. From there, take the next lift – this time to the Croda Rossa mountain station.
  • Section 3: Upon arrival, a snowy surprise awaits. Croda Rossa boasts a giant snowman family, a favourite photo stop. Continue to the Kreuzberg pass and tackle the Marc Girardelli piste. From the mountain station of the T-bar lift, cruise down to Bagni di Valgrande.
  • Section 4: Hop on the SALTO ski shuttle to reach the Val Comelico ski area. Ride the Col d’la Tenda chairlift up and take a well-earned culinary break at the mountain hut.
  • Section 5: From Belluno, return by ski bus to Signaue. Then, take the Drei Zinnen cable car to the Stiergarten mountain station.
  • Section 6: After a brief ride on the Stiergarten cable car, brace yourself for the black piste descent to the Helmjet valley station. The cable car then whisks you right to the summit of Monte Elmo.
  • Section 7: Wrap up your journey with a thrilling run down the 4.75-kilometre Helmissimo piste back to Vierschach – or descend toward Sexten and return to your starting point at the Helmjet station in Sexten.
