Peak enjoyment
Mountain huts & restaurants
Sunny hiking trails, idyllic alpine huts and breathtaking panoramas define summer in the Three Peaks Dolomites region, turning the mountains into a true place of enjoyment and discovery. Yet winter also has its own magic, as snow-covered landscapes create a fairytale-like atmosphere. The Dolomites are not only known for their stunning natural beauty, but also for the many mountain huts and alpine pastures that complete the experience.
These traditional refuges are an integral part of South Tyrolean mountain culture—far more than just a place to rest. They are spaces of connection, indulgence and relaxation.
Whether on a scenic summer hike or a peaceful winter snowshoe tour, there’s nothing better than recharging your energy on the sunny terrace of an alpine hut. With views of the region’s iconic peaks, you can enjoy local specialties such as Schlutzkrapfen, dumplings, or a traditional South Tyrolean “Marende” with speck, cheese and crispbread. And for a sweet finish, treat yourself to a fluffy Kaiserschmarren with lingonberries.
Good to know: Most huts and alpine pastures in the region are easily accessible via well-marked hiking trails.
