Getting to the 3 Zinnen Dolomites region by car

Would you like to explore the region’s villages with maximum independence and flexibility? Or perhaps you’re travelling with luggage that’s difficult to manage on public transport? There are plenty of good reasons to go to the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site by car – and we’ll help you find the best route.

Route options for motorists

  1. Follow the Brenner Motorway (A22 – toll road) and take the Brixen/Vahrn exit in the Puster valley. From there, follow state road SS49-E66 for around 60 kilometres to reach the 3 Zinnen Dolomites region.
  2. Alternatively, you can arrive via Lienz in East Tyrol (A), crossing the Austrian-Italian border on the B100-E66 state road.
  3. Travellers coming from southern Germany are best advised to take the Felbertauern Road.
