Snowshoe hike: Niederdorf/Villabassa - Spannewiesele - Kalkbründl
The snowshoe hike to Kalkbründl begins in the center of Niederdorf. From the village square or train station, follow Johann-Jäger-Straße eastward. After a short distance, turn left onto Maistattweg, which initially leads through open, snow-covered meadows and later into a forest. The path becomes increasingly narrow and continues gently uphill along snow-covered forest roads. Halfway to Putzalm, you'll reach a crossroads with signs. Near this junction lies Kalkbründl, a small spring by the wayside that is easily accessible. The snowshoe hike is easy to moderately difficult and requires sturdy footwear and appropriate winter equipment.
Niederdorf/Villabassa is easily accessible by public transport, such as buses and trains. Timetables are available at https://suedtirolmobil.info/en/
