Alpine tour with a wonderful view of the Three Peaks. Relatively long and quite strenuous hike with a short, secured passage above the Wildgrabenjoch/Torre degli Scarperi.
Starting from the car park in Innerfeldtal, follow trail no. 105 to the Dreischusterhütte (1,626 m) and continue uphill to the foot of the Morgenkopf (2,493 m). At the fork in the trail, keep right and ascend via trail no. 9 and later no. 10 to the Wildgrabenjoch (2,289 m), where you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the north faces of the Three Peaks. Then cross the Schwabenalpe eastward via trail no. 11 via a short, secured passage with wire ropes. To the left, the Schwabenalpenkopf (2,687 m) rises impressively. The trail continues eastward down into the extensive cirque between Morgenkopf and Gwengalpenjoch – with a fantastic view of the Dreischusterspitze (3,145 m). From there, you first return via trail no. 11A and later no. 105 to the junction at Wildgrabenjoch and hike leisurely down the same trail to the starting point in Innerfeldtal.
