Scenically very beautiful, six-kilometer-long high-altitude trail that follows old wartime paths and can also be recommended for less experienced hikers, especially since the ascent can be done by lift and the return by bus. The good trail runs from the Rotwand meadows partly along the forest edge, partly above it at the foot of vertical rock faces, almost level to the Kreuzberg Pass. Beautiful views from the trail to the Carnic Ridge and to the north to the ice peaks of the Rieserferner group.

In Moos, turn at the church, walk towards Café Kofler and continue through the meadows to the valley station of the Rotwand meadows cable car (approx. 10 minutes). Then we take the cable car up to the beautiful Rotwand meadows (1950m; refreshment option). Our following hiking route is well marked with the number 15. The trail first crosses the flat clearing of the Rotwand meadows, then a short light forest, and afterwards it runs under the bizarrely shaped rock formations of the Sexten Rotwand, the Neuner, and the Arzalpenkopf partly over wide scree basins, partly through beautiful mountain forest up to the ridge descending from the Arzalpenkopf to the Kreuzberg Pass. Along the entire route, you can see remains from the First World War, especially on the Arzalpenkopf, which is completely riddled with caverns and galleries (interwar period). The trail follows this ridge briefly, then a short descent along the ski slope over meadows leads down to the Kreuzberg Pass (1636 m). From there, the descent (if you don't use the line bus) leads lightly downward through light forest along path no. 13 A to the 'Signaue' and finally along the Sexten circular trail (no. 1) directly back to the starting point.
It is an easy and particularly scenic route with little elevation difference between the tree line and the rocks with many remains of the First World War.
By car or by bus to Sexten, then on to Moos to the valley station of the Rotwand cable car
