A beautiful and not too long hike that leads through the raised bogs. The Seikofel is also a retreat area for the capercaillie and other wildlife, so one should definitely be considerate. Stay on the paths and keep quiet. Due to the dense network of paths, a good hiking map is needed! Especially the turnoff to Schwarzsee is a bit tricky. Provisions must be brought along, or the first opportunity to eat is at the campsite.

Directions
From Moos the path leads uphill and at the first fork to the right you reach the mountain guesthouse Froneben (1540 m). Now we hike on path 139 over the raised bog "Obere Oltl" to path no. 13, a forest road. This now leads us through dense spruce forests along the gorge of the Sextner Bach. At a fork shortly after a tall wayside cross (1,756 m - Saumahd junction) we turn right (shortly before there is a left to Klammbach Alm) and enter the forest on a wide forest road. We follow this forest road briefly and reach a large clearing. Here path 132 branches off to the left and leads to the Seikofel (1,908 m), past beautiful raised bogs, rare plants and animals. Some of the ponds were created by shell holes from World War I, when the Seikofel, due to its strategic location and magnificent panoramic view, was a fiercely contested spot. Down from the Seikofel we reach path 131, which leads from Nemesalm to Kreuzberg. We follow this path and arrive in a hollow and then on a hill. Several paths meet here and it can rightly be called a junction. We take the wide forest road (path no. 130), which leads right to Schwarzsee. Shortly after the small lake, which also lies in a raised bog, the path turns left and descends quite steeply, passing the campsite and merges further downstream into the Sextner circular route (no. 1). We now follow the Sextner circular route, which leads us back to Moos. It is a very beautiful panoramic route that takes us off the beaten track into a small natural paradise. Noise and shouting have no place at the Seikofel.
