Niederdorf - Mini Zoo Camping Olympia - Bad Maistatt - Niederdorf
The hike begins in the center of Niederdorf, heading towards the Spitalkirche. From there, follow the Rienzstraße, which leads you directly to the river. Along the rushing Rienz – always accompanied by the soothing sound of water – the path leads flat and pleasantly out of the village.
After a short time, you reach the lovingly designed mini zoo at "Camping Olympia." Various animals can be observed up close here – a special experience, especially for families with children.
After crossing the state road and overcoming a short ascent, the view opens up to the historic Bad Maistatt. The charming building recalls the old tradition of healing springs in this region. Behind the house is a still used drinking fountain – perfect for a small refreshment on the way.
The return path leads you back to Niederdorf on a gently descending trail. Surrounded by meadows and a quiet, natural landscape, this circular route is ideal for discovering the surroundings in a relaxed way while experiencing nature, wildlife, and history.
