The snowshoe hike starts in the center of Niederdorf. From there, follow trail no. 15, which initially leads via the "Maistatt" to the bridge over the Graubach stream. Once at the Graubach, leave the road and ascend along the stream in the so-called "Putzgraben." The trail is easily passable with snowshoes when snow conditions permit and leads through wooded areas and small clearings.
Further up, the trail reaches a fork/junction (at approximately 1362m according to the description), where the path splits. From this point, you can continue towards Stöckl.
The ascent is steady but requires a certain level of fitness, especially in the snow. Sturdy winter footwear, snowshoes, and possibly poles are recommended for this route. Plan sufficient time for the ascent and a break at Stöckl, depending on the snow conditions.
Niederdorf/Villabassa is easily accessible by public transport, such as buses and trains. Timetables are available at https://suedtirolmobil.info/en/
