The snowshoe hike leads from Kreuzbergpass to the viewpoint “Schuss” and offers beautiful views along the way as well as a relaxed but still attentive route.
- Beautiful panoramic view over Sexten to Comelico
- Low technical difficulty – nevertheless, caution is always advised due to possible avalanche danger and winter conditions

ATTENTION: Snowshoe hikes and ski tours should only be undertaken by skilled and experienced mountain sports enthusiasts. Avalanche danger must be strictly observed on all routes – a complete avalanche equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, and shovel) is mandatory. Avalanche reports and weather conditions must be checked before every outing. Those without experience should only undertake the tours accompanied by a qualified mountain guide or guide.

Directions

The snowshoe hike starts at Kreuzbergpass. From there, it goes up to Bärensee and further to Forcella Pian d. Biscia. The viewpoint “Schuss,” or “Cima dei Colesei” as it is called in Italian, offers not only a great view of Sexten but also beyond the national border into Comelico and is especially popular due to the low difficulty. The return route follows the same way back.

How to get there

Coming from Puster Valley, turn off in Innichen into the Sexten Valley to Moos. From Kreuzbergpass, follow the main road. Start at the parking lot at Kreuzbergpass.
