From Hotel Pragser Wildsee, walk along to the western end of the lake; here, turn right onto path no. 19 into Grünwald Valley. Pass the Grünwald Alm (serviced) and continue to Altkaser Hut (not serviced). From there, hike steeply upwards to the serviced high alpine huts. Difficulty level: strenuous, technically not demanding Tip: continue into Lapedure Valley to the beautifully situated Hochalmsee (2,250 m); walking time: approx. 3 hours Tip: detour to Hochalpensee Beautiful hike to one of the most beautiful Dolomite lakes. From the high alpine huts, follow the broad path to Kreuzjoch, turn right into Lapadure Valley and hike slightly upwards to the beautifully situated lake on the left.
