From the main square in Niederdorf, this quiet and enjoyable winter hike starts along trail no. 27 towards Maistatt. The partly paved, easily walkable path leads through a silent, snowy landscape – past open fields, old trees, and snow-covered pasture fences.
In the clear winter air, you enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding mountains again and again. Behind Maistatt, the path continues to Altschluderbach, a charming small village at the foot of the Dolomites. From here, you go through light forest, accompanied by the crunching of snow under your feet and with views of the impressive peaks of the Pragser Dolomites, until you reach the wild-romantic Rienz.
For the return trip, you can choose the previously known route – or comfortably return to Niederdorf by train or bus.
A relaxed winter route for everyone who wants to combine exercise in nature with quiet beauty!
