Directions
The starting point of this winter hike is the Kreuzberg Pass (1,636 m). From the bus stop, the trail begins directly next to the road on a small path heading toward Zin Fux. After a few meters, the trail initially runs parallel to the road before reaching a slightly wider area. Here, follow hiking trail no. 13A in the direction of Patzenfeld. The wide forest road first descends gently until you reach a fork in the trail. Keep right and continue along the wide path, which at first is not signposted. However, after a few meters, you’ll spot the red and white trail marking with the number 13A on a tree. This section now climbs gently through the forest until you reach another fork. Follow the signs toward Patzenfeld/Moos. The path leads over several small bridges and runs idyllically through the forest alongside a stream. On the other side, you can already see the Caravan Park Sexten (1,527 m). After a while, you'll reach another fork, where you continue straight on along an unmarked trail into the forest. This is the so-called “Root Trail” (Wurzelweg), which winds through the woods for about 1 km. Eventually, you’ll rejoin the wider hiking trail no. 13A. Continue along this path until you reach a crossroads, where you proceed straight ahead. Shortly after, you come to another junction, where you leave trail no. 13A and follow trail no. 1 in the direction of Hennstall (1,474 m).
From here, you can either end the hike and conveniently return to the starting point at Kreuzberg Pass by public transport, or extend your hike and continue on to Moos.
