Directions

The tour begins at the Helmjet Sexten. The gondola lift takes you comfortably up to the mountain station. From the nearby Helm restaurant (2041 m), a wide forest path (path no. 4) leads in about 30 minutes to the Hahnspielhütte hut (2150 m) – offering a magnificent panoramic view.
Tip: To extend the tour a little, you can walk up to the summit and from there over the Karnischer Kamm/ Cresta carnica to the Sesto mountain pastures.

How to get there

Coming from the Pustertal valley, turn into the Sexten valley in Innichen. If arriving from the Kreuzberg pass, follow the main road until you reach Sexten. Take the cable car Helmjet Sexten

Parking available at the Helmjet Sexten (parking fees apply after 4 hours during peak season).
