Welcome to probably the most beautiful Christmas Market in the Dolomites region

As every year, the Christmas Market in San Candido will open its doors again in 2025/26. From November 28, 2025, the village center will transform into a charming winter wonderland. Whether it’s a hot mulled wine or a warming cup of apple mulled cider, the lovingly decorated Advent market stalls invite you to linger and enjoy. From delicious regional specialties to high-quality local products, every visitor will find something special.

The Christmas market will remain open in all its variety until January 6, 2026.

Explore the Underground Christmas Market

One of the many highlights this year is once again the Underground Christmas Market at Dolomythos, open daily from November 14, 2026, and enchanting visitors with its unique atmosphere. Here you will mainly find souvenirs and gifts perfect for the Christmas season.

Nativity Exhibition

This year, the historic Franciscan Monastery will once again host an exhibition of carefully restored and beautifully preserved nativity scenes. These lovingly crafted works of art provide a fascinating glimpse into traditional craftsmanship and the region’s unique nativity culture.

Visitors are warmly invited to explore the exhibition and admire the intricate scenes up close!

How to get to the Dolomites Christmas Market

The Dolomites Christmas Market takes place in the center of San Candido and is easily accessible by train/bus, on foot, or by car. Guests of accommodation providers affiliated with the local tourism association receive the digital South Tyrol Guest Pass.

Car parking is available in the immediate vicinity, just a few minutes walk from the Christmas market.

We recommend taking the convenient and eco-friendly route to San Candido by public transport to visit the Dolomites Christmas Market.
