- Magnificent view of the Sexten Dolomites
- Refreshment stops in typical mountain huts
- Possibility to shorten or extend the hike
- Linear route
The hike starts in Moos via the asphalt road (Helmweg) to the Berggasthaus Froneben (1540 m). From there, hike on trail no. 139 across the "Obere Oltl" high moor to trail no. 13, a forest road. This leads through dense spruce forests along the gorge of the Sextner Bach stream. At the fork in the path, near a tall wayside cross, go straight ahead to reach a beautiful plateau called "Saumahd" (1828 m). From here, it is only about 30 minutes to the Nemes Alm hut (1877 m). All around, extensive alpine pastures stretch out in front of the magnificent backdrop of the Sexten Dolomites. From the Nemes Alm, you can reach the Coltrondo Alm (1879 m) in about 45 minutes. From the Nemes Alm, but also from the Coltrondo Alm, you descend to the Kreuzberg pass (1636 m). From there, you can return to Moos either on foot (1.5 h) or by bus.
