Hike: Sexten- Innichen

This pleasant half-day tour begins in Moos (1346 m). From the church in Moos, go right down onto Heideckstraße until it ends. There, cross a small bridge and follow path no. 102 to the right towards Sexten, passing Sport Sexten until you reach the center of Sexten. Cross the street there and hike up the narrow connecting road to the church. Pass the church and after a few hundred meters turn left into Lanerweg road. Below the Lanerhöfe farms, hiking trail no. 5 to Innichen begins. This leads across blooming meadows, past farmhouses, and further into the forest above the artificial lake. Behind the reservoir, continue to follow path no. 5, which later merges into path no. 4 – always in a quiet, secluded location, far away from the busy route along the stream. Finally, you reach the center of Innichen (1175 m), where a visit to the impressive Romanesque collegiate church is particularly worthwhile. Additionally, the charming town invites you to a small shopping round or a cozy coffee.

Coming from the Pustertal valley, turn into the Sexten valley in Innichen. If arriving from the Kreuzberg pass, follow the main road until you reach Sexten. Take the cable car Helmjet Sexten
