Hiking path with buggy: Gasthof Panorama – Helmhanghütte hut

Starting from fortress Mitterberg (public parking lot) – via Gasthof Panorama (1576 m) – you hike along a forest road (path no. 13) to the Helmhanghütte hut (1605 m). From there, the hike can be extended as desired towards the Sexten Alpine Pastures. The duration given is for the outward and return journeys. The 440.1 bus, the Mitterberg Shuttle, takes you comfortably and directly to the starting point of your walk.

Bus route 446, Sexten Helm bus stop; during the peak season, you can also take bus route 440 or route 440.1 (Mitterberg shuttle).

Coming from the Puster Valley, turn off at San Candido into the Sesto Valley. Coming from the Kreuzberg Pass, follow the main road to Sesto. Start at the Haus der Berge, Dolomitenstraße 45A, or drive to Mitterberg Fortress, or take the convenient Mitterberg shuttle (line 440.1).
