MTB tour Silvestertal Valley round (041)

Starting from the train station of Toblach, the tour leads in a north-easterly direction to the 
village centre and then along the Silvesterstraße street past the village of Wahlen into the 
Silvestertal valley. After you have gained a few metres in altitude, initially on an asphalted road, 
turn right onto the Toblach high trail no. 1. A little later this leads onto a gravel path through 
the forest. The forest path always leads gently uphill, only a little steeper in two places, to the 
Silvester Alp (1,800m), which is surrounded by alpine meadows. Behind the alpine pasture 
the road leads into the forest on the right, always slightly uphill, below the Silvester Chapel 
(1,805m) to the Innichner Eck, the highest point of the tour. Now it‘s all downhill: the forest path 
leads past the Lachwiesenhütte hut (1,685m) back to the starting point. From the Lachwiesen-
hütte hut, the forest road turns into an asphalt road again.
