The circular hike begins at the volunteer fire department building in the center of Niederdorf. From here, the well-marked hiking trail no. 46 leads you through picturesque countryside, accompanied by meadows, forests, and the soothing sounds of nature.
Follow the trail to the historic Sinna Mihle, an old mill that still reminds us of the former life and work in the Puster Valley. At this charming spot, turn right onto Lanaweg, which leads you on a flat section for about 1.5 kilometers towards Dobbiaco.
Here you can enjoy the peaceful, almost meditative atmosphere of the surroundings – far away from the hustle and bustle.
The way back takes you across the idyllic Langwiesn – wide, snow-covered meadows with unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains – back to Villabassa. At the end, the loop closes and you reach your starting point at the volunteer fire department.
This easy but varied hike is ideal for experiencing the scenic diversity and quiet beauty of the region in a short time.
