Of course, you have heard of the famous Three Peaks. And perhaps you already know Monte Elmo. But you’re completely lost when it comes to the Olperl? Then it’s about time you met this curious little creature! After all, it’s deeply connected to the history of the 3 Zinnen Dolomites region. Once upon a time, the mischievous Olperl played all sorts of tricks on the farmers of Sexten – and to this day, it’s said that he and his woodland friends are still up to their cheeky antics in the area. Your family can learn all about this charming mountain spirit at Olperl’s Nature Park on Monte Elmo. Starting right at the mountain station of the Helmjet Sexten cable car, a 1.5-kilometre circular trail leads your family to ten exciting activity stations. From climbing logs and a barefoot path to a lookout tower and water trough, there are plenty of highlights waiting for adventurous mountain explorers. And let’s not forget the stunning views of the Sexten Dolomites along the way!
