Directions
The tour begins at the Helmjet Sexten cable car parking lot, which takes you comfortably up to the mountain station. From the nearby Helmrestaurant (2041 m), a wide forest path (trail no. 4) leads in about 30 minutes to the Hahnspielhütte hut (2150 m) – a family-friendly hike with magnificent panoramic views. Tip: Those who wish to extend the tour can hike up to the Helmhaus and continue across the Carnic Ridge to the Sexten mountain pastures – an impressive nature experience in the heart of the Dolomites.

How to get there
Coming from the Pustertal valley, turn into the Sextnertal valley in Innichen. Coming from the Kreuzbergpass, follow the main road to Sexten. Start at the Haus der Berge, Dolomitenstraße 45A.
