It is a forest path of cosiness, no altitude difference and no special impulses. You will always have the village of Sesto on your left and pass the famous Sexten cemetery. From the reservoir through the forest to San Candido.
Tips and advices: very little difference of altitude and no special efforts, a comfortable forest way. Pass the cemetery and also the Stifts Church in San Candido.
Summary: a very nice and calm excursion with the possibility to mix culture and shopping at San Candido.

Directions
The starting point for this walk is the Haus der Berge (1,310 m). From here, you first follow the footpath for a short distance out of the valley. After the bus stop, turn left, cross the stream and then follow path no. 105A parallel to the stream towards Innichen.
Passing a children’s playground, you reach a side road and, shortly afterwards, the dairy. Continue along the road out of the valley, staying on path no. 105A. You’ll reach a small area in front of another bridge. Here you are in Schmieden. Just before the bridge, the path branches off to the right and continues along path no. 105A through the woods towards Innichen.
After about 1 km, you cross another bridge and then follow the path briefly along a tarmac road. You are now in the industrial area of Sexten. Following signpost No. 105A, the path descends gently towards the main road. You walk along a wooden footbridge parallel to the road until you reach the bus stop. From there, the path leads once again along the stream towards the Sexten reservoir.
After crossing another bridge, you reach a section of the path also used by cross-country skiers. Here, pay attention to the signposted branching paths. Follow the path to the Alte Säge (1,259 m). Just before this, you cross the road and come onto a narrow path which continues through the forest and along the stream towards Innichen. You eventually reach Innichen (1,175 m).
