Winter trail: "Schöne Aussicht"/Bellavista Eggerberg/Montecosta

This scenic panoramic hike begins in the charming village center of Niederdorf and leads you past the majestic parish church. As you follow the gently ascending Eggerbergstraße, beautiful views over the Puster Valley and surrounding countryside gradually unfold. After passing the traditional Brandhäusl farm, you reach a bend in the road where trail no. 45 branches off into a peaceful forest path.

You continue through fragrant pine forests until you arrive at a quiet clearing near the Thaler farm. The path then leads you on almost level ground towards the Kleinsinner farm, where the landscape opens up again and the valley stretches out before you.

From there, a small mountain road leads you to the viewpoint “Schöne Aussicht” at 1,460 meters above sea level – and as the name suggests, a breathtaking panoramic view of the Puster Valley awaits. It's the perfect place to take a break, relax, and soak in the peace of nature.
