Biggest "devil show" in South Tirol and party in Dobbiaco
Due to current safety regulations, this year's Krampus Run will not take place in the village centre, but instead in the grounds of the Grand Hotel. The new location provides optimal conditions for implementing the necessary safety measures and allows visitors to experience the traditional Krampus Run and keep this important local tradition alive in a safe environment.
The procession will start at the railway station car park and continue past Hotel Union and Hotel Germania before reaching the Grand Hotel Park. The festival area will open at 2:00pm, with musical entertainment creating a festive atmosphere throughout the afternoon. At 5:45pm, Saint Nicholas will make his entrance, followed by the start of the main Krampus Run at 6:00pm. Afterwards, a party with a DJ will take place in the park and festival tent.
Admission to the festival area is 10.00€. Children up to and including 9,99 years of age enter free of charge.
Route
By car:Travelling from the north:
Take the A 13 – A 22 motorway from Innsbruck via the Passo del Brennero/Brenner Pass and exit at Bressanone/Brixen. Follow the signs to Val Pusteria/Pustertal to Dobbiaco/Toblach via Brunico/Bruneck.
From the south:
Take the A22 motorway from Verona via Bolzano/Bozen and exit at Bressanone/Brixen.
By rail:
Whether coming from the direction of Innsbruck or from Verona-Bolzano, change to the Val Pusteria/Pustertal line at Fortezza/Franzensfeste. There are also some direct services from Innsbruck and Bolzano.
From the train station to the Grand Hotel
The Grand Hotel is located outside the village centre and is easily accessible on foot from Dobbiaco railway station.
