Walking the Alta Via of Dobbiaco is the best way to observe in their majestic complex the Dolomites, their striking shapes, the plays of colour and the shadows that the day and night light produces when it breaks on their white cliffs. In autumn this phenomenon becomes even more strong and involves the entire surrounding nature. Through this day and night-long experience everyone will be able to live this unique emotions, accompanied by our guide who will tell curiosities, anecdotes and stories about the Dolomites, its culture and people: We will climb up the valley to the Corno Fana to enjoy a spectacular fiery sunset, and after spending the night there at the Bonner hut, a real scenic stage on the Dolomites, we will admire the sunrise above the Three Peaks. After a rich and traditional alpine breakfast, we will cross the Alta Via of Dobbiaco to reach the new March hut hut where we will be served a tasty and typical meal surrounded by the Sundial of the Sesto Dolomites, the last stop before returning to the valley again...

Route
Our comfortable transport service will pick You up from the meeting point at the Dobbiaco Tourism Association and will take You to the starting point of the hike. The next day You will be driven back to Dobbiaco.Good to know
Sleeping bag or sheet bag, towel, warm clothing (hat and gloves – shorts are not recommended), hiking boots, rain and windproof clothing, water, head torch.Good physical fitness, sure-footedness, and no fear of heights.

Offer description
Throughout the hike, you will be accompanied by our professional guide, who will share interesting facts, anecdotes and stories about the Dolomites, their culture and their people.DAY 1:
Meet at 9.00 am* at the Dobbiaco Tourist Office – Shuttle to the starting point at Franadega
6.5-hour hike to the Bonnerhütte (Dobbiaco High Route).
Sunset, dinner and overnight stay at the Bonnerhütte (drinks not included).
DAY 2: Breakfast and start of the hike (9.00 am)
Dobbiaco High Route – Cornetto di Confine mountain hut – Marchkinkele (March hut) with lunch (3.5 hours’ walk)
Descent through Blankental (Steinbergalm and Silvesteralm) to the Chapel of St Sylvester (walking time approx. 3 hours) and from there (Bödeneck) return by taxi (approx. 15:00)
* Those who prefer to set off later and/or walk less can reach the Bonnerhütte from Candele (approx. 2.5 hours’ walk)

register by 3:00 p.m. on the previous monday in the Tourist Office of the 3 Zinnen Dolomites
