Winter hike from the Fischleintal valley to the Three Peaks

- Starting point: 07.50 am Tourist Information Innichen / San Candido (bus from Monte Baranci at 8.18 am)
- Return: approx. 5:00 pm
- Walking time: 7 hrs
- Difficulty: demanding
- Altitude differential: approx. 1.000 m
- Kit: technical, ankle-covering mountain boots (no winter boots), hot drink (thermos flask), food, thermal protection, gloves and spare hat, sun protection

By minibus (the first 8 registered persons can travel in the minibus of the Alpine School, all other persons follow the minibus by public bus), we travel from Innichen to the Fischleinboden hut, where the challenging winter hike to the Three Peaks begins. Step by step, you immerse yourself in an untouched, glistening winter wonderland where snow-covered forests and the majestic peaks of the Dolomites exude a complete, magical stillness. The Three Peaks in the Dolomites are among Europe’s most famous mountain formations and one of the highlights of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descent via the same route.

IMPORTANT:
The hikes will take place in all events, even where there is a lack of snow.
In the event of a grave risk of avalanche or other adverse conditions, programme changes may occur.
There is no minimum number of participants.
The minimum age for children is 10 years with a shoe size of at least 35 (there are no snowshoes for smaller sizes).
Dogs are not permitted at ANY tour.
The first 8 registered persons can travel in the minibus of the Alpine School; all other persons follow the minibus by public bus.

Useful informations / what to bring

- technical, ankle-covering mountain boots with profiled soles (winter boots or low shoes are not suitable for deep snow) and possibly gaiters
- Warm hiking socks or ski socks
- Warm hiking clothes or thin skiwear (thick skiwear is too warm for hiking, even in colder temperatures)
- Spare shirt
- Warm jacket (for breaks, descent and when it’s windy)
- Gloves (possibly thin for the ascent and thick for the descent)
- Hat
- Scarf (e.g. BUFF loop)
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Backpack
- Drink (in cold temperatures in a thermos flask)
- Refreshments (you should carry a snack even for short tours. Ideal snacks are: Muesli bars, fruit, sandwiches, chocolate, etc.)
- Camera
- Money (for any refreshment stop in an Alpine hut)
- Südtirol Guest Pass (hikes with possible bus transfer Wednesday & Friday)

Cancellation policies

The cancellation of the online ticket is not possible and also in case of wrong footwear the participation must still be paid.
Participation only possible with technical, ankle-covering mountain boots with profiled soles (winter boots or low shoes are not suitable for deep snow).

The cancellation of bookings with cash payment are possible until 6 p.m. of the previous day.

A short-term booking, 2-3 days before, is recommended.
