This section is the second part of the trail from Alte Säge to Waldheim and leads from Schmieden across meadows and along the River of Sexten to the end of the trail at Waldheim.

Directions
First, follow trail 16a until just before the ‘Sonnwendplatz’ playground. There, the trail branches off and leads across open meadows to Frohne, where you can enjoy a view of the Sesto sundial. After a short descent, the trail runs along the Sesto stream. To the right of the trail is the Waldheim lift, a small T-bar lift that you pass by. Shortly afterwards, the route ends. The entrances to the Fischleintal trail and the Waldheim circular trail are in the immediate vicinity.

How to get there
Coming from the Pustertal valley, turn off into the Sextnertal valley at Innichen. Coming from the Kreuzberg Pass, follow the main road to Sexten. Start at the Alte Säge , Sextner Straße 28. Alternatively, you can start from the Innerfeldtal car park and join the cross-country ski trail. From here, head towards Sexten/Alte Säge.
