Where Choral Singing Meets the Dolomites – A Unique Festival Experience

The Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival is a non-competitive musical event held in the heart of the Puster Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps. Nestled at the foot of the majestic Dolomites, on the border between Italy (South Tyrol) and Austria (East Tyrol), the festival offers a truly unique setting where music, nature, and cultural exchange come together in perfect harmony.

Concerts, encounters, and international exchange

The festival features a diverse program with around 60 performances, including traditional concerts, open-air showcases, and special gathering days where each choir is invited to present its repertoire freely. This creates a vibrant blend of music, culture, and exchange, bringing together singers and musicians from all over the world.

Since its founding in 1998, more than 1,300 choirs from 49 countries have participated in the festival. The variety of venues and the wide range of musical performances make it not only a highlight of the international choral music scene, but also a unique meeting place for diverse musical traditions and cultures.
